It is a member of Herbicide Group 1 (Amino Acid Synthesis Inhibitors) and belongs to the Aryloxyphenoxypropionate (APP) chemical class. Mode Of Action
Quizalofop-Ethyl 5% EC works by inhibiting the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), which is essential for the synthesis of fatty acids in plants. This enzyme is involved in the production of cell membranes and energy. By blocking its activity, Quizalofop-Ethyl disrupts the growth and development of grasses, leading to the death of target weeds.
