Penta (Pendimethalin 30% +Imazethapyr 2% EC)
Penta is a broad-spectrum selective herbicide formulation combining two active ingredients: Pendimethalin and Imazethapyr. Pendimethalin (a dinitroaniline herbicide) provides pre-emergence control of grassy and some broadleaf weeds, while Imazethapyr (an imidazolinone herbicide) controls both broadleaf and grassy weeds post-emergence.
Mode Of Action
Pendimethalin inhibits cell division in weeds by disrupting microtubule formation during germination, primarily controlling grasses and some broadleaf weeds pre-emergence. Imazethapyr inhibits the enzyme acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS), involved in the synthesis of essential amino acids, leading to growth inhibition and death of broadleaf and grassy weeds post-emergence.
