Amitrol

Amitrol (Tembotrione 34.4% SC)
Tembotrione 34.4% SC belongs to Triketone group is a selective post-emergence herbicide formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC) for effective control of broadleaf and grassy weeds in corn and other crops. It offers reliable and long-lasting weed control, helping to reduce competition for nutrients and water. With its fast action and extended residual effect, Tembotrione enhances crop yield and quality, making it a valuable tool for effective weed management in various agricultural systems.
Mode Of Action
Tembotrione 34.4% SC works by inhibiting the enzyme 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) in target weeds. This enzyme is crucial for the synthesis of carotenoids, which protect chlorophyll from degradation. By blocking this process, Tembotrione causes a breakdown of chlorophyll, leading to weed desiccation, discoloration, and eventual death.
