Description
Belongs ivermectin group of insecticides. It protects plants from feeding damage within a few hours of application. It is good for controlling Lepidoptera such as bollworms in cotton and fruit and shoot borers in okra.
Mode of Action:
It is a non-systemic insecticide which penetrates leaf tissues by trans-laminar movement. Acts by stimulating by the release of aminobutyric acid, an inhibitory neurotransmitter thus finally activating chloride channel. It controls a range of larval instars by contact activity. It gets rapidly absorbs into foliage, has trans-laminar movement & shows immediate paralysis on ingestion.
